Lewisham Sport & Physical Activity Strategy

FMG were appointed by the Council in October 2019 to develop Lewisham’s Physical Activity and Healthy Lifestyles Strategy which also encompassed a Built Sport and Leisure Facilities Strategy. Using the 4-stage Sport England compliant SOPG approach, FMG developed the Strategy on behalf of the Council. It included working with Sport England on Facilities Planning Model runs and also working with the Leisure database Company on health and fitness demand, particularly focussing on the potential replacement of the Bridge Leisure Centre in Sydenham. Following on from this, we helped the Council develop a feasibility study for the replacement of the Bridge Leisure Centre including latent demand analysis and revenue business plan projections.
