Ifield Golf Course

FMG were appointed by England Homes to review the mitigation measures required for planning purposes regarding the closure of Iflield Golf Course in West Sussex for housing development. The objectives of these mitigation measures  to two other close courses was to:

• increase capacity through additional provision or improvements, 
• lengthening the playing season by the course remaining open during wet weather, and 
• to increase the quality of the players experience by making the courses attractive and comparable to the more experienced golfer currently playing at Ifield Golf Club which is set to close.

Working with our strategic partners European Golf Design, we visits a number of other golf courses, consulted course owners, analysed the usage and capacity, and developed investment plans, costings and operational impact and IRR.
