FMG Consulting and Progress Health Partnerships were proud to be commissioned by the National Trust to support the development of a masterplan for Ormesby Hall, a Grade I listed historic house and estate located in Redcar and Cleveland.
Our work brought together a wide range of data and insights—covering social, economic, environmental, and health and wellbeing factors—to inform how this treasured site can best serve the needs of both local communities and visitors.
🧭 The aim? To ensure Ormesby Hall evolves as a vibrant hub for culture and tourism, informal learning, recreation, biodiversity, and community health and wellbeing—balancing its rich heritage with a forward-thinking, inclusive, and sustainable vision for the future.
Key outputs included:
✅ A synthesis of data linked to the environment, local community, health and wellbeing, natural environment, and local strategy
✅ Actionable insights to support visitor usage, community resilience and stakeholder engagement
✅ A literature review highlighting UK and global best practice in managing heritage spaces for public benefit
We're excited to see how this evidence-based foundation helps shape the next stage of Ormesby Hall’s journey—supporting place-based transformation that respects the past while building a healthier, greener, and more connected future that enhances the visitor experience.
