Kevin Godden - Director
Kevin is a qualified accountant with significant experience in the development and negotiation of management and public private partnership contracts. He also has over 14 years experience in local government finance covering accountancy, financial planning, capital finance and the delivery of capital investment projects.
Kevin has over 10 years experience as a consultant in the sport and leisure sector, and developed the leisure procurement guidance for the 4ps. His areas of expertise includes business planning, leisure operations, facility feasibility, financing modelling and project finance.
Outside work, Kevin’s interests include mountain biking and motorsport.
Andy Farr - Director
Andy is a facility development specialist. Having formerly worked for KPMG and PMP Consultancy, Andy’s expertise is in complex procurement and delivery projects in the sport and leisure sector and he has led a number of market leading facility developments, including Elmbridge Xcel Leisure Centre, Glasgow City Halls redevelopment, Lammas Leisure Centre in Ashfield, Leeds Arena, sportscotland property review and facilities strategy and Sport England's National Sports Centres management contract procurement.
Andy has worked internationally, with project experience including high-profile assignments such as the Singapore Sports Hub PPP and Ghana Cup of African Nations.
Andy is a qualified PRINCE2 practitioner and has project managed numerous assignments with a range of agencies and stakeholders. He has more than 10 years experience in management consultancy, allied to previous practical work in local government sports development.
Outside work, Andy is a keen sportsman, playing numerous sports including hockey, cricket, badminton, squash and golf. He is also a keen (albeit fair weather!) cyclist
Emma Madden - Director
Emma is a leisure procurement specialist focused on delivering solutions for the future provision and management of client’s leisure facilities and services.
A sport and exercise science graduate and former Business Analyst with Ernst & Young and Director of Consulting at PMP Consultancy, she now leads FMG procurement advice on a range of projects, particularly PPP(DBOM) contracts and leisure management contracts using the Competitive Dialogue approach.
Specific project experience centres around project management of complex procurement projects, the development of key procurement documentation, including instructions to bidders, evaluation models, output specification, payment mechanisms and benchmarking proposals and leading on the commercial analysis and negotiation of bids.
Emma’s experience in this arena has included significant involvement in preparing the Government and Local Partnerships (formerly 4ps) Standard Contracts for Leisure PFI/PPPs and working closely with a number of local authority clients to deliver long-term leisure management contracts and large-scale new and refurbished facilities.
Away from work she prefers to spend her time outdoors – in the sunshine or the snow!
Damien Adams - Senior Consultant
Damien is an experienced consultant and skilled project manager with over 5 years experience of working in the sport and leisure sector.
He has worked on projects across the business including feasibility studies, business planning and operational reviews but primarily specialises in management options appraisals and the procurement of leisure management contracts for local government. Examples of his recent work include management options appraisals for Fenland District Council and Ipswich Borough Council and procurement processes for Mid Sussex District Council and the London Borough of Merton.
Damien graduated with a Business Management and Sport Sciences degree and has experience of project management roles in several industries. His work in the sport and leisure industry has allowed him to develop a detailed knowledge of the leisure industry, current leisure operators in the market and leisure facility operational issues. He previously spent 18 months acting for the London Development Agency as the Contract Manager for the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre.
Outside of work, Damien enjoys travelling and is a passionate amateur sportsman
